Lawrence A. Honan, Jr. was born November 4, 1929 in Lebanon, Indiana to Lawrence A. Honan Sr. and Nelle Moran Honan. He married Catherine A. Molohon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lebanon on October 12, 1957. Larry was a graduate of Lebanon High School where he was a member of the LHS Baseball Team and played for the Lebanon Merchants and Hicks Bus Body Softball team. He then attended Wabash College for two years. He served in the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the service he began employment with the U.S. Postal Service as a Railway Mail Clerk. He later became a Mail Clerk with the post office. Larry was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Indianapolis. He was a member of the American Legion and was an avid sports fan especially of the Chicago Cubs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim (Joan) Honan and his brother in law, Paul Skiles. He is survived by his sister, Fran Herr of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged. Services for Mr. Honan are 11am Monday, December 29, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 9am until services on Monday at the church. Graveside services will be at 2:30pm Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon, IN. Online condolences may be offered at usherfuneralhome.com
