Ruth J. (O'Brien) Fletcher, 88 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully July 25, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born January 18, 1921 in Connersville, IN to William & Grace (Couch) O'Brien who have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert R. Fletcher and her sister, Margaret (O'Brien) Thomas. Ruth was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was an active volunteer for many years in the churches St. Vincent DePaul program. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (William) Ehret; brother, William O'Brien; grandchildren, David R. Dean, Jeffrey R. Dean & Michael R (Courtney) Dean; great grandchildren, Devon Dean, Marissa Dean and several nieces and nephews. Services for Ruth are 11am Thursday, July 30 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 9am until services at the church. Online condolences at usherfuneralhome.com.
