Rosa (Rose) Roberts Crigger Brotherton, 96 passed away at the Brownsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center on August 26, 2009. She was born June 4, 1913 in Manchester, KY to the late Taylor Gilbert Roberts and Anna Powers Roberts. The family later moved to Middlesboro, KY where she spent her youth.

Rose was married to James Morris Brotherton who preceded her in death on December 21, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Eunice Dalton; brothers, Tom, Jim, Charles, Gilbert, Billy Joe, and Jack Roberts. grandson, Mark Thomas and two great grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her son, David (Shirley) Crigger, New Tazewell, TN; daughters, Carol (David) Thomas, and Margie (Jack) Bagosy of Indianapolis. Also surviving are grandchildren, Michael (Noelle Gasco) Thomas of Monterey CA, Lori (Joe) Marlar of Nashville, TN, Alex (Jennifer) Bagosy of Ladera Ranch, CA, Emily Bagosy of Indianapolis, Karen (Terry) Braubaugh, Miami, FL, Sharon Sieglar, Morristown, TN, Cathy (Andy) Partin, Tazewell, TN, and Susan (Bill) McDonald of Indianapolis. She also has 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose is also survived by a brother, Algin Sims Roberts of Frankfort, KY.

Services for Rose are 1pm Saturday, August 29 at the Usher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10am until services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of Indianapolis.
