William McKinley Shafer, 55 of Indianapolis passed away October 6, 2009. He was born July 31, 1954 in Salem, Ohio to Ovard and Shirley Shafer who have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Matthew W. Shafer and his brother, Roger Shafer. He is survived by his wife, Susan S. Stokes Shafer; stepsons, Timothy Staton, Michael Staton, 2 sisters and 1 brother. A memorial gathering will take place from 2-4pm Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Usher Funeral Home.
