Dolores A. "Dee" Downton, 88 of Indianapolis passed away March 14, 2010. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. "Red" Downton. During her lifetime she had resided in Memphis, TN and Monticello, IN. She was the past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and she was the past president of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Altar Society. Dolores was also a Brownie Troop Leader and an avid bowler and square dancer. Survivors include her children, Donna Downton Hughes, Carol Anne Downton, Anita Marie Downton, Denis G. Downton, Galen Downton, Maria Downton Robertson, Lucia A. Downton and Marta Downton Myers; grandchildren, Julie, Gary, Jennifer and Andrew; great granddaughter, Emily Ann;. She is also survived by 1 sister and 6 brothers. Services for Dolores are 10:30am Thursday, March 18, at Usher Funeral Home and 11am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4-8pm Wednesday at the Usher Funeral Home. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
